Lacing Hardwood Floors
Author: ClarkDont want to remove a wall because you are afraid the floor patch will Stand out?
No Problem, with the help of our friends at Authentic Hardwoods owned by Mike Keroack, you will never know the difference.
Here is an example of a kitchen renovation we just completed. We removed a wall and installed a beam that made the opening span 12 feet. It was extremely important for the two floors to blend seamlessly so that they would feel like one space.
We Remove the wall and closet to the right of the cased opening and installed a beam. This left a void in the hardwood flooring.

Authentic Hardwoods laced in a new floor where the wall and closet had been removed.

After sanding the floors and installing 3 coats of polyurethane it is impossible to tell where the old floor stops and the new floor starts.
